The MobileIGNITE members include leading service providers and Mobile, SIP and IMS vendors dedicated to developing best practices and use cases for Fixed-Mobile Convergence solutions.

The key benefits that MobileIGNITE members receive are:

• Ability to accelerate the FMC market through interoperability
• Only group that combines both Mobile and IP to work together on best practices and tests case that can be used to for FMC solutions
• Access to innovative and industry leaders
• Shared philosophy of early deployment for interoperable best practices and solutions that are IMS compliant

The foundation for the MobileIGNITE is centered on these key principles:

• MobileIGNITE Members support existing open standards for the purpose of achieving and demonstrating interoperability of end-to-end MobileVoIP convergence solutions, especially the use of SIP, IMS(3GPP) and MMD(3GPP2), and SS7 (IS41 and MAP variants) standards family and the IEEE 802.11 family of standards.
• MobileIGNITE Members work cooperatively to further extend these standards to allow for development of interoperable best practices and test cases based on open, flexible architecture.
• MobileIGNITE Members share a philosophy of early deployment of interoperable products in today’s networks, believe that IP Multimedia System (IMS) is the core network standard for future Next Generation Networks Convergence, and intend to migrate their solutions to IMS compliance and interoperability as soon as reasonably practicable.
• MobileIGNITE Members develop and openly distribute Interoperability (IO) and “Best Practices” guidelines for end-to-end FMC solutions.

Members of the MobileIGNITE are actively working together on interoperability and marketing of fixed mobile convergence best practices and test cases.
